A Bear Called Paddington cover

Book

A Bear Called Paddington

by Michael Bond

Paddington loves marmalade, but it’s very expensive where he is from so he only had it on special occasions. Marmalade comes in many flavors, including sweet orange, lemon, fig, and guava, and it’s especially good with breakfast. Try some marmalade on some toast, or enjoy a full Paddington Breakfast.

Then, join Paddington at the beach with a Ham, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich. (Feel free to put marmalade on your sandwich, too.)

Paddington's Breakfast

Complexity: Paddington is a bear of simple tastes. Easy assembly and cooking!
Time: 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 Grapefruit
  • 2 strips of bacon
  • 2 eggs
  • Bread
  • Marmalade
Marmalade is hard to find! Follow the link below to get some.

Directions

  1. Slice a grapefruit in half across the middle (the nose/stem should be perpendicular to your slice) and cut around the sections to allow them to be scooped up with a grapefruit spoon. Sprinkle some sugar on top.
  2. Fry the bacon in a skillet. Remove when it has cooked to desired doneness. Cook eggs, over-easy or scrambled, in the skillet.
  3. Toast bread in the toaster or toaster oven. Top with marmalade or jam.
  4. To serve, place everything on a plate - you may mix it up like Paddington, or keep everything separate to enjoy.
